Couple Building a Dream
15 Sep 2018 – Samantha Healy | Courier Mail, Brisbane
First home buyers Ayla and Alex Nolan were looking to settle down and start a family when they came across a house design that ticked all their boxes.
Mrs Nolan, who grew up in the bush, was immediately drawn to a ranch-style house design by Stroud Homes, and will soon call the $350 million masterplanned Waterlea community near Ipswich home.
“When we were told they were offering competitive pricing on that particular home design in February we knew we’d found our family home,” she said.
“Our block is just shy of 800sq m and has an acreage design which is long and flat.
“It wouldn’t have been an affordable option to buy such a massive block of land elsewhere. We can’t believe the ease of access to the city, shops and schools from Waterlea, as it’s only 12 minutes to Ipswich and within walking distance of the pub, IGA and the primary school.”
Waterlea is being developed by RBG Services. It is being marketed by Benchmark Property, which signed 21 contracts in June alone, to the tune of $3.5 million.
Benchmark project marketing manager Karla Johnston said Waterlea sales showed no signs of slowing.
“Waterlea is completely sold-out of its first stage, 70 per cent sold-out of its second stage, and stage three, which will be completed by the end of 2018, has also reached near sell-out status on early releases,” she said.
“The larger lot sizes on offer at Waterlea give young families the opportunity to build their spacious dream home, which has been a real drawing point for first home buyers.”
Land sizes at Waterlea range from 375sq m to 900sq m, with the average lot 505sqm.
