This front section of Waterlea’s linear parkland along Karrabin-Rosewood Road has been designed to feature substantial vegetation and landscaping and will be without significant amounts of water for the majority of the time.
During times of heavy rain, this section will fill up with water and within hours, safely and quickly drain away as part of Waterlea’s stormwater management plan.
Further up the water corridor in the district park section, deeper areas of connected ponds and creeks will feature as well as a crossover bridge.
The first stage of planting fronts the new commercial precinct, which will feature a childcare centre and café / restaurant and will open later in 2020.
